Lift
Installation
We
are as concerned with the environment as we are with our customers.
We want to provide a top quality product and service to the customer
as well as not changing or disturbing the environment any more than
need be.
After initial contact with the homeowner, we conduct a phone interview regarding your potential lift site, we sometimes ask for site pictures. Given all needed information we are able to quote potential projects over the phone. In certain scenario’s we will have to personally go and look at the site to access the project. In that case we determine the best location for the lift, trying not to disturb any plant growth. If we have to remove any shrubs or brush, we leave the root system intact so as not to cause any erosion problems now or in the future.
Next,
we establish the line that we want the tram to run and install a
straight, tight string line. Then we cut all weeds and brush below
the track line, if need be.
Track
comes in 10-foot sections and we start bolting them together alongside
the string line. We can install our Lift System on most any angle
and to most any length. Our shortest Lift System is 30 feet and
our longest is 720 feet. Different lengths simply require the proper
motor and gear reducer. Angles of less than 40 degrees are standard.
Over 40 degrees increases the difficulty of installation and therefore
increases the cost. The steepest known Lift System is over a cliff
in Minnesota at 87 degrees. Pricing is variable depending upon the
length & angle of the track, location, and the number of days
required for installation. Our Lift System cost includes everything
that makes the lift operational, but does not include the track,
since everyone has different needs for length.
Our
support legs are 1 1/4" round tubing and come in 10 foot lenghts.
The depth of the support legs being driven into the ground depends
on the soil condition. By using a small diameter means we are disturbing
very little ground area. We use 1" round tubing for bracing
between each set of legs to help stabilize and secure the lift.
At ground level we use 1" round tubing between each set of
legs for cross-support to stabilize the lift, which also acts as
additional support on ground surface.
Lift
Systems come in green, brown, black or galvanized.
